Gasthäuser are small hotels or "Guest Houses"

In and nearby Herrnsheim are several Gasthäuser which we have used for our prior family gatherings. They are clean and comfortable. All include a European breakfast in the price. Most Germans in the hospitality industry are fluent in English so language should not be an issue.

In the table below, click on their name to go to their website. Click on the Link in the right column to send them email. The Rooms indicate the size of the Gästehaus, not the rooms available. Distance is from the Gästehaus to the centre of Herrnsheim. Herrnsheim is a small village. At the centre are the Schloß, where the party will be held Saturday evening, and Weingut Schembs, the winery of Arno Schembs where we typically congregate during the three days.

The prices shown are from 2026 for a double room. Single rooms are less expensive. Many Gasthäuser have some rooms which can accomodate more than two. Be sure to inquire, if this is of interest to you.

Assuming you intend to participate in all the activities, you will want to make reservations for four nights -- Thursday through Sunday. Friday morning we will make our excursion to Undenheim and several other villages in the area. Sunday the Rhine River cruise will take all day.

Arno Schembs recommends making your Gästehaus reservation as soon as you think you will be coming to Schömbs 2028. Waiting could result in there being no rooms available in your Gästhäuser of choice. You can later cancel, if necessary. If you make a reservation, please click on the "Contact" link above and send an email indicating where you have made your reservation and how many are in your group. As we get closer into 2028, look at the bottom of this page to see who is staying where.

Gästehäuser

Die Zimmer geben die Größe des Gästehauses an, nicht die Anzahl der verfügbaren Zimmer. Die angegebene Entfernung ist die vom Gästehaus zum Zentrum von Herrnsheim.

Die angegebenen Preise gelten ab 2026 für ein Doppelzimmer. Einzelzimmer sind günstiger. Viele Gastehäuser haben Zimmer, die Platz für mehr als zwei Personen bieten. Frag einfach nach, wenn dich das interessiert.

Wenn du an allen Aktivitäten teilnehmen willst, solltest du für vier Nächte reservieren – von Donnerstag bis Sonntag. Am Freitagmorgen machen wir einen Ausflug nach Undenheim und in ein paar andere Dörfer in der Gegend. Am Sonntag dauert die Rhein-Kreuzfahrt den ganzen Tag.

Arno Schembs sagt, du solltest dein Gästehaus reservieren, sobald du weißt, dass du 2028 zum Schömbs-Treffen kommst. Wenn du zu lange wartest, könnte dein Wunsch-Gästehaus schon ausgebucht sein. Du kannst später bei Bedarf stornieren. Gasthäuser são pequenos hotéis ou “pensões”

Em Worms/Herrnsheim e arredores, tem várias pousadas que a gente já usou pra nossas reuniões de família. Elas são limpas e confortáveis. Todas incluem um café da manhã europeu no preço. A maioria dos alemães que trabalham com hotelaria fala inglês fluentemente, então a língua não deve ser um problema.

Na tabela abaixo, clique no nome para acessar o site. Clique no link na coluna à direita para enviar um e-mail. Os quartos indicam o tamanho da Gästehaus, não os quartos disponíveis. A distância é da Gästehaus até o centro de Herrnsheim. Herrnsheim é uma pequena vila. No centro estão o Schloß, onde a festa vai rolar no sábado à noite, e a Weingut Schembs, a vinícola de Arno Schembs, onde a gente costuma se reunir durante os três dias.

Os preços mostrados são a partir de 2026 por um quarto duplo. Os quartos individuais são mais baratos. Muitas Gasthäuser têm alguns quartos que podem acomodar mais de duas pessoas. Não deixe de perguntar, se isso te interessar.

Se você quiser participar de todas as atividades, é melhor reservar quatro noites — de quinta a domingo. Na sexta de manhã, vamos fazer uma excursão a Undenheim e várias outras vilas da região. No domingo, o cruzeiro pelo rio Reno vai durar o dia todo.

O Arno Schembs recomenda que você faça sua reserva na Gästehaus assim que decidir que vai ao Schömbs 2028. Se você esperar, pode acabar não tendo quartos disponíveis na Gästhäuser que você quer. Você pode cancelar depois, se precisar. Se você fizer uma reserva, clique no link “Contato” acima e mande um e-mail dizendo onde você fez a reserva e quantas pessoas estão no seu grupo. Conforme 2028 se aproxima, dê uma olhada no final desta página para ver quem vai ficar onde.
