The SCHÖMBS FAMILIENTREFFEN 2005
The festivities began on Thursday as many of the family members arrived from
various parts of Germany and other countries (Austria, France, Russia, and the
United States). Friday about twenty-five of us went to Undenheim and St.
Albans Hof. The main gathering was Saturday at Gasthaus Krone in
Herrnsheim. Sunday about thirty relatives went on a fun boat cruise on the
Rhine from Bingen to Boppard. After lunch in Boppard, we took the train
back to Bingen and got together for a final dinner in Osthofen.

- Peter Schömbs of Berlin has suggested another Treffen in May, 2007, on
the 300th anniversary of Zacharias's death. Hmmm.
