Joseph Schembs of St. Louis

Joseph Schembs (1908-1930) was eight years younger than his brother Johan, the founder of the California Schembs. He was the third child of Johann (1964-1925) and Anna Maria Zimmerman Schembs (1864-1928). When he emigrated in 1927, he went to St. Louis where his brother John (Johan) was living and working. A couple of years later Joseph died in a hunting incident, possibly from a self-inflicted wound. He was unmarried.[1]
